Our Shrine Trail
Honoring major world religions, our shrine trail is a place meant for everyone.
“God has made different religions to suit different aspirants, times, and countries. All doctrines are only so many paths, but a path is by no means God himself. Indeed, one can reach God if one follows any of the paths with whole-hearted devotion...One may eat a cake with icing either straight or sideways. It will taste sweet either way.”
Shrine Trail
The monastery sits on 40 acres of largely undeveloped hills in Trabuco Canyon. Surrounding the monastery, we have a hiking trail that honors major world religions. The religions represented are Native American, Vedanta, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam. We also have a shrine dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna called Panchavati, which honors the “Panchavati” where Sri Ramakrishna used to frequent for spiritual discourses and isolated meditation.
